The Bartenders: Macbeth & Much Ado About Nothing

Red Barn Theatre is a new, up-and-coming, company located in Statesboro, GA. I was lucky enough to get cast in their first season. It's my first time in Georgia and I'm loving it (even the heat) so far! If you are in the area this summer and are in the mood for some dinner theatre Shakespeare pieces turned wacky, with improv, audience interaction, and more surprises, I'd love to see you there.

I'll be playing Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing

Be on the look out for more updates.

Disforia

Last week, I was lucky enough to be a part of an exciting new short film, written and directed by a an amazing female team.  I'd like to note that most of the team/crew were female.  It was nice to finally see more women on set!  The story explores the relationship between a young woman's attempted suicide and the birth of her transmasculine self. It is a beautiful and deeply personal nightmare.
Looking forward to revealing more as post-production continues.

Writer/Co-Director as well as playing Jane/Jack: Isabella Mehiel
Co-Director Heidi Hartwig

New Short Film!

Just finished filming a new short called, 'A Sacrifice,' directed by Inhak Kim, with Kowi Productions.  In 'A Sacrifice,' I play Melissa, somebody stuck in a time that has already far passed. Through the eyes of a stranger, we see the final moments of her "stuckness."

This film will be submitted to the HBO Asian Pacific American Visionaries competition

I will be sure to update you as things move along post production.

The Cabaret... Weston After Dark

The Cabarets are hard to explain because they are always different. They happen every night after every MainStage show in an intimate setting in the basement of the theatre. Audience members are welcome to drink and eat, and are often involved. Crazy costumes, Vermont jokes, and complicated medleys are always included. It is an hour of mayhem; a chance for the young company to let loose. I truly think I learned the most about myself as a performer doing these shows. You can't hide and you have to be truthful, you simply have to be yourself and give it your all.

Guys and Dolls at The Weston Playhouse

Working on a classic like this has been a blast.  I don't know how anyone couldn't have fun doing Guys and Dolls. Hearing the audience applaud after Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat really is pure magic. In this production I played a ditzy, bubbly hotbox girl, a scared and shy missionary named Martha, and a saucy dancer in the Havana nightclub.

"It's a show about sinners, saviors and everybody in between." - Malcolm Ewen (Our Director)

Junie B. Jones at The Weston Playhouse

I never thought being a 6 year old again would be this fun and challenging. I play Lucille, Junie's sassy and fashionable best friend last year. But it's a new year and that means new friends for Lucille... new friends that rhyme, Chenille and Camille. I also get to play Bobbi Jean, That May's new nose picking bus buddy. Check out more information on this charming, silly and heartwarming show at http://www.westonplayhouse.org/junie-b-jones

CNN 24 Hours With The Caviar Girl

"The caviar girl outfit and tray were custom made, and the ensemble comes complete with an adorable Petrossian hat, serving tray with fine glassware and (my favorite) a hip holster for chilled vodka. It’s the traditional way to enjoy caviar!"
